If there’s graphite powder and the steel tube oxide skin stuck to the mandrel, you can grinding them, and have no effect on the pipe expanding.
The reducing part of the mandrel can be repaired with stainless steel electrodes and then polished.
>Q2: Why is the expanded pipe not neat and crack at the end?
Suggest to stop 5-8 seconds at the end of the pipe while expanding. In addition, the temperature is relatively low at the beginning of the diameter change, so the pipe end is easy to crack. suggest to pause here for 3-5 times, and 20-30 seconds each time.
>Q3: What kind of treatment need to do before expanding pipe?
High temperature lubrication should be carried out on the inner surface of the mother pipe before expanding. Graphite spraying machine is generally used for graphite spraying. The purpose is to reduce the friction between the surface of the mold and the mother pipe, to protect the steel pipe from scratches, and extend the service life of the mold.
>Q4: In order to avoid dust pollution, we can't use the graphite powder for lubrication, what can be used instead?
Mix the graphite powder and water to use.
Or adopt high temperature lubricating graphite emulsion. Don’t use ordinary lubricating grease, because it is high temperature flammable,that’s very dangerous.
>Q5: How does the curvature of a pipe change as it expands?
After expansion, the bending degree is as follows:
1) for the wall thickness of steel pipe is ≤15mm, and the bending degree generally does not exceed 1.5mm/m.
2) for the wall thickness of the steel pipe is > 15mm, and the bending degree is generally not more than 2mm/m
3) for the full length bending of 12m steel pipe shall not exceed 12mm
